Chocolate Ganache Slice Recipe (Paleo, Vegan, GF)

This simple 2-step chocolate ganache slice recipe is easy to make and it tastes amazing! Its the perfect paleo, vegan and gluten-free treat that everyone will love. Enjoy!

Ingredients


chocolate ganache sliceBase

1 cup almonds
1 cup mixed nuts - macadamia's, walnuts or whatever you have in the pantry
2.5 cups of dates (soak in warm water for 10 mins then drain)
3/4 cup raw cacao
1/4 tsp sea salt
almond butter (optional)

Chocolate ganache

1/4 cup almond/coconut milk
350g dark chocolate, chopped
3 Tbsp coconut oil, melted
1/2 tsp sea salt
cacao nibs (optional)

Method


Base

Place nuts, cacao & salt in food processor and blend until fine. Pop in bowl and set aside.

Add dates to food processor and process until small bits remain. Pop in bowl and set aside.

Add nut and cacao mixture back into food processor, while processing, slowly add small handfuls of dates until none remains. Process until a dough consistency is formed.

Add mixture to a paper lined tray and press out evenly. Pop in the freezer for 15mins.

Spread a layer of almond butter over the nut mixture to add a delicious twist. This is optional.

Ganache

Heat the milk in the microwave or over stove top until very warm.

Immediatly add broken up chocolate to warm milk and stir until melted.

Mix in salt and coconut oil.

Take slice out of the freezer and evenly spread chocolate ganache.

Top with cacao nibs.

Return to freezer for as long as your willpower allows! Enjoy!
